SHE has been nominated for 128 awards and has won 72 - including her 1999 Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Shakespeare in Love - but it appears Judi Dench doesn't see for herself just how good her films are, since she doesn't watch them.

"I still don't think it is very easy watching yourself and I haven't seen most of my films," she told Prince Edward at a charity event in St James's Palace, reports The Guardian."I find when it comes to it, actually seeing what your choice was with a role, you suddenly think it was the wrong choice to have made.But it's too late then.It's not like the theatre, where I could have another go the next night."

The star of screen and stage also revealed to the royal (who is currently ninth in line to the throne) how she came to star in 2004'sThe Chronicles of Riddick, a film that she considers to have been "a flop".Vin Diesel convinced her to join the cast by showing up to her dressing room with a bunch of flowers "so long they couldn't get it up the stairs."
"You can't say no to a man like that," she said.
