London College of Fashion To Make LFW Debut

THE London College of Fashion will hold its first London Fashion Week show next month.The school's MA students will show their graduate collections to the world's press and buyers within the grand setting of The Royal Opera House.

"British creativity and design is truly at the forefront of international style and commerce," reads a release from the college."For the first time, London Fashion Week will provide the platform for the London College of Fashion… to present its MA 2013 graduates to a global audience."

Former London College of Fashion alumnus include Charlotte Olympia, JW Anderson (pictured) and William Tempest.The school will join Central Saint Martins, which also holds a graduate show every season.

"London produces the best and most innovative designers in the world, with outstanding institutions like the London College of Fashion helping them to hone their skills and compete with the very best on the international stage," said Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London."Showing at London Fashion Week is a terrific opportunity for future stars of our glittering fashion firmament to showcase their talents to a global audience."

The show will take place on Friday February 15, the opening day of the London Fashion Week schedule.
