RIHANNA poured cold water on rumours of a feud with Beyoncé that yesterday began heating up among her loyal fans, the Navy.

The singer found herself embroiled in controversy after she liked an Instagram post, the caption of which called in to question why the singer had received only eight nominations to Beyoncé's nine.All a misunderstanding, the Bajan star asserted.

"I never actually read your caption, thought the pic was funny and moved right along!Til I seen it pop up over and over!" she wrote in the fan's comments section."I'm petty af, yes.But this is just unnecessary!I wish y'all would drop this topic and see things from the bigger picture!We don't need to be putting black women against each other!We deserve to be celebrated, and the Grammy Academy agrees!"

The fan's primary bug bear seemed to be the absence of Rihanna's album Anti from the Album of the Year nominees, while Beyoncé's Lemonade did earn a place on the list.Rihanna, however, made it clear that she was overjoyed with the nominations that she did receive.
