VOGUE cover girl Edie Campbell may be known for her boyish Sixties look, but her style is inspired by more unexpected references.
"Sometimes I wake up and think, 'I want to look like Sherlock Holmes today,' and other times I want to look like a witch from Macbeth," she told us."Otherwise, I like what Tilda Swinton wears.Kristen Stewart always looks good - she wears what she wants. It's the same with Alison Mosshart - she chooses clothes that she loves rather than what she thinks she should wear."
The British model - who landed her debut Vogue cover for this month's April issue - has a relaxed approach to dressing up.
"When I was 17, I used to really think about what I wore every day," she said."But now I spend my life being dressed up, I don't always have the energy for it when I'm not working. Now I think to myself, 'Do I look like a total moron?'If it's a no, then fine.At London Fashion Week, I wore a lot of trackies - practicality is important."
She does, however, have a fashion vice - eBay.
"I have a terrible habit of shopping after I go to the gym of hitting eBay," she said."The other week though, I was in Covent Garden post-gym and ended up in this fetish shop and bought a latex polo neck.I remember walking out with my shopping bag after I'd bought it thinking, 'What am I doing? This is mad.'"
The April issue of Vogue is on sale now.
