March 17 will mark the release of a hotly anticipated high street and designer union:Rodarte for & Other Stories.Sisters and Los Angeles natives Laura and Kate Mulleavy show their labels collections at New York Fashion Week, and have dressed Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman and Kristen Dunst in their ethereal creations for the red carpet.
In the same vein that its sister brand H&M releases previews of its designer collaborations via Instagram, & Other Stories and Rodarte have been doing the same.So what do we know so far?Well, stylish actress Chloe Sevingyhas previewed a patchwork leather miniskirt that also features in one of the campaign images.Fusing metallic, suede and matte leather, the design isnta million miles away from the details seen in the Rodarte AW16 collection. The patchwork aesthetic also extends to ankle boots which come in both a dark and light colourway.
Pyjama-style cream and brown tops with pipingalso look to form part of the mix, a trait echoed in a blush-hued wrap dress that is paired with spot-print tights.Weve also spied a rather fabulous-looking zip-up jacket adorned with white, faux fur patches.
Rodartes catwalk designs retail in the thousands and even the brands cult cotton t-shirts bearing its Radarte slogan cost over £100, so the link-up with an affordable retailer will make the brandaccessible to all.
& Other Stories launched in London in 2013 with the view of bringing a more boutique-style experience to the high street.Unusually for the Swedish-owned brand, its atelier is based in Paris, and it has collaborated with a variety of lesser-known fashion creative as part of its co-labs ranges.
