Kate Moss meets a watery end in Ab Fab:The Movie

Kate Moss is nothing if not game for a laugh, as she proved yesterday on the set of the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous:TheMovie.

The supermodel was spotted emerging from the murky depths of the Thames wearing a green sequined evening gown with a Champagne glass in hand and a soggy cigarette hanging from her mouth.We can be sure it wasnt just the aftermath of one of Mosss legendary nights out as a film crew was present.

She was then seen walking along the pebbled riverside arm-in-arm with French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, who was seen carrying a metal detector.

Singer Lulu and actress Jane Horrocks, who plays main character Edina Monsoons dippy assistant Bubble, were also seen splashing about in the water as they filmed scenes for the big screen adaptation of the comedy favourite.

The synopsis for the film, written by Jennifer Saunders, currently explains:

Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London"s trendiest hot-spots.Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi.Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!

Other pictures from the set this week showed lead characters Edina and Patsy, played by Saunders and Joanna Lumley, visiting an elaborate riverside shrine to Moss, suggesting that she meets a grisly, water-drenched end in the comedy – likely the major incident described above.

Its the second time Moss has appeared in Absolutely Fabulous; she starred as herself in the 2012 Sport Relief special alongside Stella McCartney and model David Gandy.Shes set to be joined in the big screen version by fellow celebs Kim Kardashian and Emma Bunton.The film is due for release next year.

Moss is currently fending off rumours that her four-year marriage to The Kills front man Jamie Hince is over.Until now, she has been continuing to wear her wedding ring, though it appeared to be absent on the set of Ab Fab.She is reportedly enjoying a fledgling relationship with 28-year-old photographer Nikolai von Bismarck – but, as ever, shes staying true to her never complain, never explain mantra and declining to comment on any of the rumours.
